Solutions Deployment Method
The rapid deployment of a large and sophisticated
centralized disaster management system requires a methodological
approach. Our method is called Event Information Integration, also
referred to as EI2.
Event Information Integration (EI2)
When a crisis strikes, the questions abound!
-
What has been damaged?
-
Who has been killed or injured?
-
Who is taking care of ____?
-
What is going on in ____?
-
When will ____ be restored?
-
Where was the greatest impact?
-
Why is ____ taking so long?
-
How much ____ have we lost?
-
Government, Public Safety, the Media, Senior
Management, Shareholders want to know____?
The answers to these questions, and being prepared for
them drives a methodology that assumes that:
-
Information must be aggregated, analyzed and acted
upon in real-time.
-
Event information is often geographical or can best
be understood in a geographical context.
-
Status and reports are derived from both static and
dynamic data sources, and they are in continuous change.
-
Correlation of data is critical to gain
understanding of the ever-changing picture.
-
Correlation requirements vary from company to
company, and across internal and external organizations. During a
crisis, managing the balance and demands of both internal and
external customers is essential.
-
Key data are used throughout an organization by
different people for multiple purposes.

Easy-Entry Processes
Pilot Project
In our experience the Easy-Entry process is best managed with a Preliminary Pilot
Project, where a scaled-down system is deployed, customized, and
rigorously tested. The Pilot Project is broken into three phases to
assist the client in Disaster Recovery Preparedness. The system is
physically location-independent, but it should reside in the logical
center, around which revolve the common denominators required in a
crisis, that are derived from multiple sources.
Phase 1 - Setup & Deployment
During Phase 1, we work with our client to gather all necessary data,
prepare all necessary equipment, and finally deploy a mini-cluster of
servers at the client's location to operate the system.
Phase 2 - Customization
During Phase 2, we customize the system to include such modifications as
necessary to adapt and adjust the system to our client's environment.
Phase 3 - Operational Evaluation Period
During Phase 3, our client uses the system operationally and evaluates
the value-added to the organization and its concerted efforts in
Disaster Recovery and Preparedness.
After the Operational Evaluation Period, we negotiate
the customer-specific terms for a full system's deployment.

Customized or Unique Solutions
Occasionally solutions may include recommendations for
customized software systems from our suite of flexible Framework
Application Designs. These enable rapid deployment and accurate
reporting on the status of any given system, project, or network.
Solutions for Engineering
The PMCentral Systems consulting team is comprised of engineers,
programmers, designers, and project managers.
We build our services around customization of our software
tools for the benefit of our clients. We offer our clients consulting services for technical engineering
projects with a goal of not only identifying areas of concern, but also to
offer concrete solutions that will remedy the condition. The Frame is thus
modified to best accommodate our client's needs and data handling
requirements.
Our clients enjoy the benefit of our team's collective experience and
an openness to innovative solutions that are adapted to the client's
circumstances.
Solutions for Project Management
Given the background of our team, a core skill set our team is also high level management
of complex engineering projects. When this skill set is linked with our
Solutions Design Method, we utilize our knowledge and proprietary tools
to facilitate internal
communication and enable senior managers to gain a clear view of what is
occurring on their project without compromising the engineering focus on
the work at hand.
International Experience
Our team members are based in the United States and in Europe but have
also worked extensively throughout Asia. Therefore, we retain an
international outlook. In that sense, all our systems are designed to be
utilized in multi-lingual environments.
Our own staff speak English,
German, French, Italian, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. Systems we have
designed have been deployed in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
